Varför Huddinge centrum är värt ett burgarbesök
Epic Burgers serverar riktigt prisvärda burgare och känns som ett trevligt lyft för alla som bor i Huddinge och vill ha en grym burgare. Epic Burgers opened in the summer of 2024, and are located by Fullerstatorget on the other side of the railway tracks at Huddinge Centrum. We visited the small food cart and were greeted by a menu with a handful of burgers at very reasonable prices.
Vad du kan förvänta dig på menyn
There were five beef burgers and a vegetarian option with halloumi, and we ordered a Double Epic Classic with cheddar, white onions, pickles, mustard, ketchup and mayo. A menu with french fries cost 115 SEK (10.5 USD), and as it was lunchtime, a soft drink was also included. Our burger came well packaged in a cardboard box with the fries in a small bag, and when we unpacked it we were greeted by a really nice creation.
Smak och textur
The patties had a nice crust and everything looked well composed with nicely melted cheese. Our first bites were really nice with classic cheeseburger flavours. The double 100-gram beef patties each were well seasoned and juicy, which we really appreciated. However, we had expected them to be a little crispier in texture judging by the appearance. The mild white onions offered some pleasant texture, and the pickles were both crispy and offered some great acidity that broke through the flavours really well. We would have liked to see a little less ketchup, as it was quite noticeable in terms of texture and flavour in the already soft cheeseburger.

Alternativ i området - från matvagnar till restauranger
Vi besökte den lilla matvagnen och möttes av en meny med en handfull burgare till väldigt rimliga priser. Här fanns fem köttburgare och en vegetarisk variant med halloumi, och vi beställde en Dubbel Epic Classic med cheddar, silverlök, pickles, senap, ketchup och majonnäs.

En annan upplevelse: snabbmatsstil men genomtänkt
Outside the restaurant, loud electronic music was playing, but as soon as we stepped inside, the atmosphere calmed down. And despite the neon signs and disco lights, the place was surprisingly cosy. There were about ten different burgers on the menu, and we ordered two of them: a Puls Cheese with cheddar, white onions, homemade pickles, ketchup and mayo, and a Kiss Me Later 2.0 with cheddar, bacon, onion rings, lettuce and garlic sauce.

Both burgers had a 150 gram beef patty and cost 189 SEK (19.5 USD) each, including fries and a Boom Boom dip. Our burgers were served quickly and looked very appetising, even though the Kiss Me Later was a bit tall and difficult to eat due to the onion rings. The patties were cooked unevenly between the two burgers, and our Puls Cheese had a better crust and a nicer texture.

The bun was surprisingly fluffy, and we think it could have handled a double-patty burger without any issues. The cheeseburger was stripped down to its bare essentials, but even though we appreciated the simplicity, we would have liked to have seen a classic yellow American mustard for a bit more acidity. The homemade pickles were fresh and crispy, but the white onions were cut so coarsely that they were hard to bite through and brought down the overall experience.
The Kiss Me Later 2.0 had a fun combination of ingredients, but we wished the flavours had been more pronounced. For example, we were missing a clear garlic flavour from the sauce. The fries, on the other hand, were well-cooked, nicely seasoned and really tasty.
Kundupplevelsen: smak kontra väntetid
Har ätit riktig goda hamburgare efter ett långt tag. Storlek med single patty var lagom för min del men jag kunde ha ätit dubbel också! Fries också krispiga och fluffiga och så lätta att man känner inte tungt i magen när man har ätit denna typ av mat.
Det enda nackdelen med att komma hit är att man måste verkligen ha tålamod. Väntetid kan ta upptill 45 minuter och få sittplatser finns pga publik. En massa ta med sig beställningar som går förre de som beställer på plats.
Vad som gör en burgare i Huddinge centrum bra
- Riktig stekyta och välkryddade, saftiga köttpuckar ger klassisk cheeseburgerkänsla.
- Krispiga pickles och välavvägd syra bryter av det feta.
- Goda pommes som är krispiga och smakrika kompletterar burgaren.
- En bra brioche- eller fluffig bulle klarar även en dubbelpuck utan att falla isär.
- Service och väntetider kan påverka upplevelsen - planera besöket efter rusningstid.

Efter besöket förstår jag varför de har så bra recensioner på Google Maps. Deras hamburgare är ”out of this world”. Storts, saftiga och påminner mig om de jag åt i USA.
